He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Smith and Mildred Smith (Williams); his brothers, Bobby Joe Smith, Little Bud Smith and R. L. Smith; his grandson Colby Pritchett; and his great grandchild Vera June Pritchett.
He is survived by: his children, Patsy Mathis (Randal), Sissy Greene (Jerry), Joey Smith, Renae Walley (Wilson) and Chris Smith (Brandy); his siblings, Jimmy Smith (Lois), Lynn Smith (Caroline), Nancy Mayo (Dewey) and Audrey Jones; and his son David Traywick. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
