He was predeceased by: his parent Ernestine Fulmer Guthrie; his uncle Whitey Fulmer; and his stepsisters, Janice Hall and Sharon Brett. He is survived by: his wife Tandi Jones Fontenot of Quitman, MS; his children, Jesse Fontenot of Quitman, MS, Jacob Fontenot (Terra) of Waynesboro, MS and Anna-Lauren Prentiss (Caleb) of Leakesville, MS; his nephew Eric Jones of Brandon, MS; his sisters, Joy Voss (Gerald) of Hector, AR and Beth Staggs of Benton, AR; his stepsiblings, Ed Guthrie (Lou) of Petal, MS, Mike Guthrie (Vickie) of Grand Bay, AL and Judy Lane (Clyde) of Petal, MS; and his grandchildren, Kilynn Fontenot, Makenzie Fontenot and Harper Prentiss.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Little Rock Assembly of God Church (17 Little Rock Rd, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at the Yellow Creek Cemetery.
