With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nickie Jane Wright of Quitman, Mississippi, who passed away on December 1, 2020 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nickie Jane Wright to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Monroe "Buddy" Matthis and Emma Dean "Deanie" Nichols Matthis; her husband Melvin Wright; her brother Alton Monroe Matthis; and her grandparents, Alton Leo Nichols, Mary Lena Hill Nichols, Charles Monroe Matthis and Mattie Jane Rimmer Matthis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Davis (Ken) of Quitman and Sommer Allen Berry of Quitman; her sister Tammy Maschak (Rich) of Madison, Alabama; her grandchildren, Krystyn Davis, Katelin Davis (Josh Smith), Steven Melton, Adam Berry and Kynlee Davis; her great grandchild Jackson Knight; her niece Paige Bostwick (Preston); and her nephews, Chas White, J. P. Freeney and Ty Freeney.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 906 County Road 416, Woodland, Mississippi 39776, Pallbearers will be Ken Davis, Ty Freeney, Steven Melton, Adam Berry, Chas White, and Rich Maschak. **The family has asked that social distancing and CDC Guidelines be kept in mind.
