She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Brock and Maudie Boykin Brock; her husband Wesley Wyatt Slay; her daughter Patricia Mae Slay; her grandchildren, Jarod Anthony Fleming and Heather Ree Slay (Powers); her son-in-law Willie Ray Williams; and her sisters, Justine Brock Godwin and Olean Brock Whitt.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Marie Smith (Robert), Richard Wesley Slay (Martha), Debora Nanette Williams and Jerry Benton Slay (Elise); her grandchildren, Richard Wesley "Wes" Slay, Jr. (Lindley), Jennifer Nanette Tindle, Holly Renea Williams Jenkins (Richard), Chelsi Elise Slay and Clancy Rose Slay; and her great grandchildren, Kira Fleming Whitehead (Trey), Kelsey Renae Fleming, Kristin Rose Fleming, Phillippa Frances "Pipa" Powers, Hannah Katie Powers, Ginger Drew Powers, Raymond Wesley Powers, Wyatt Randall Slay, Abigail Rose "Abby" Slay, Easton Keith Jenkins, Weston Ray Jenkins and Bennett Lane Fuller.
