He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. E. C. Moss and Willie Pearl Moss (McCord); his brother Rev. Micheal "Mike" Moss; and his brother-in-law R. L. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Moss; his children, Christopher Sean Moss (Rosie), Stephanie Lynn Wright (Jamie) and Marcus Ryan Moss (Andrea); his grandchildren, Morgan Howell (Jake), Trinity Pierce (Nashton), Eli Moss, Coy Wright, Evan Moss, Michael Wright, Makenlee Wright and Marshall Wright; his great grandchildren, Haven Howell, Coltstyn Pierce and Kye Howell; his sister Latriece Smith; and his sister-in-law Jackie Moss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
