He was predeceased by: his wife Dera Lafata; his parents, Baptiste Lafata and Rosalie Lafata; and his siblings, Mary Ciarametaro and Paul Lafata.
He is survived by: his children, Roseann Corley (Roger) and David Lafata; his sister Virginia Gatinella (Nat); his sister-in-law Coleman Rainey; his grandchildren, Stephanie Arnold, Eric Arnold, Blake Crowe (Jerrilyn) and Heather Motley (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Arnold, John Eric Arnold and Jackson Crowe.
