He is survived by: his wife Rita Welborn Chavez; his sons, Jesse Chavez III (Beau) and James Chavez (Ariel); his granddaughters, Lily Grace, Rosalie Faith and Daisy Hope; and his siblings, Annie Bustos (Mario), Velma Griffin (Bill), Dorrie Espinosa, Belinda Chavez, Mary Chavez, Janie James (Roger) and Benny Chavez (Isabel). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home (6300 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
