It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James V. Ivey Jr. of Quitman, Mississippi, who passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vardaman Ivey and Velma Lee Ivey (Anderson); his grandson Billy Wayne Comans, Jr.; his great grandchild Alyssa Garner; and his sister Virginia L. Dickerson.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Ivey; his children, Mary Williams (Ellis Doggett), Lisa Lewis (Glenn), Betty Sue Mitchell, Kathy Haney and John Mitchell Arnold (John David); his grandchildren, Barbara McLauchlin (Chris), Joanna Dickson (Colby), Joshua Williams, Dayna Chatham (Patrick), Blake Lewis (Heather), Colton Lewis (Chloe), Rebecca Stanwood (Dusty), Pamela Comans, Jennifer Scott (Brandon) and Mary Alexander; and his sister Elizabeth Ann Mathis. He is also survived by 25 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
