She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Carney and Effie Carney (Carney); her son Bobby Champion; her brother Ernest Carney; and her husband Arvin Champion.

She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Moore. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
