He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Stanley Peebles, Sr. and Joyce L. Jacobs (Newman); his stepfather Ted Jacobs; his son Jonathan Lavelle Downs; and his sister Sherrie P. Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Peebles; his children, Ted Edward Peebles and Pamela Joy Howell (Justin); and his siblings, Steve Peebles (Candy), Bruce Jacobs, Leron Ennis, Rachael DiFatta (Tommy) and Joy Pruitt (Doug). He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.
