He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pettit and Constance Pettit (Lewis); and his sister Donna Sonnier. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Pettit; his children, Clarice Dominguez (Tony), Robert Pettit (Britany) and Michael Pettit; his siblings, Kenneth "Dale" Pettit (Pamela) and Lisa Sonnier; his grandchildren, Braylen Pettit, Dalton Armstrong, Julianna Dominguez and Gabriella Dominguez; and his close friend Randy "Taco" Deaton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
