It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ray of Purvis, Mississippi, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles A. Ray; her parents, Martin J Gilbert and Pearl Lewis Gilbert; her brothers, John L. Gilbert, James Pascal Gilbert and J. T. Gilbert; and her sister-in-law Betty Jean Gilbert.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Ray, Jr. (Sheryl), Betty Ray and Gil Ray (Marilyn); and her sister-in-law Dottie Gilbert. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Charles Ray PhD Scholarship at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, 3939 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70126.
