Leigh Walker King Obituary

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Anderson Cemetery at Mineral Springs Baptist Church for Mr. Leigh Walker King, 50, of Purvis, MS. Serving as pallbearers will be, Wayne King, Garland King, Kameron King, Shane Langston, Perry Hollingsworth, Haden Bounds, Eddie Walker, and Jimmy Humphrey.
He passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at his home.
Leigh was a 1988 graduate of Petal High School and attended Pearl River Community College. He enjoyed sports, hunting, and fishing. Leigh retired from Reintjes Services of Mobile, AL as a Refractory Supervisor and was of the baptist faith. Leigh was a fun loving family man who was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Noilette King and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Pauline 'Boots' Walker; an uncle, Robert King, Jr. and a niece, Alexandria Leighton King.
Leigh is survived by his parents. Wayne and Brenda King of Purvis, MS; one son, Kameron King; two daughters, Jayleigh and Makena King; one sister, Renda Bounds (Shane) and one brother, Garland King (Alissa) all of Purvis, MS; two nieces, Victoria King of Hattiesburg, MS and Marisa Bounds of Philadelphia, MS and one nephew, Haden Bounds of Purvis, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Leigh's name to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
