It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Simmons of Purvis, Mississippi, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Oscar Simmons, Sr. and Jewel Alma Simmons (Coleman); and his brothers, Jerry Simmons, Larry Simmons, James Henry Simmons, Jessie Lee Simmons, Paul Warren Simmons, Huey P. Simmons and Roy Coleman Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Jean Simmons (Hancock); his children, Charles Lee Simmons of Petal, John Simmons (Trina) of Purvis, Robin Michelle Seals (Joseph) of Granbury, TX and Drucilla Lynn Blount (Simmons) of Purvis; and his siblings, John Simmons of Purvis, Mike Roberts of Purvis, Mark Simmons of Gainsville, FL and Lorene Poole (Simmons) of Denham Springs, LA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
