With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys Ward of Purvis, Mississippi, who passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Rogers and Nora Rogers; her brothers, Archie Ray Rogers and Bobby Joe Rogers; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Rogers and Jane Rogers.
She is survived by: her husband P. W. Ward of Purvis; her children, Terry Ward (Cindy) of Purvis and Linda Mertins (David) of Meadows Place, TX; her siblings, J. W. Rogers of Florence, Marion Rogers of Gilmer, TX, George Rogers (Sylvia) of Long Beach and Frances Burnside (Carter) of Shreveport; and her grandchildren, Christy Ward, Melissa Hillman (Clay), Amanda Fayard (Shawn), Lauren Staley (Dean) and David Mertins, Jr. (Kristin-Jo). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
