He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Edward and Mary Magdelene Ruegger; and his sister Thelma Joan Ruegger Shirey. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Joyce Maples; his children, Karen Ruegger Thornton (Vince) of Collins, Anita Ruegger Morrow (Dwight) of Purvis and Stephen Ruegger of Atlanta, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Elise Thornton Firth (John), Ian Shane Thornton, Leanna Joyce Morrow, Evan Prince Thornton and David Peyton Morrow.
