He was predeceased by: his parents, M. V. Smith and Hetty Myrtle Peevey; his daughter Brenda Gail Smith; and his siblings, Doris Harmon, J. C., Henry Lee, George, Billy Joe, Walter and Jim Smith Sr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Sue Smith of Pulaski and Bro; and his wife Sharon of Morton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
