As Mercedes departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mercedes. Though Mercedes may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eula Mae Bozeman and T. C. Bozeman. She is survived by: her children, Gaye Flint, Wanda Haggard and William C. Palmer II (Bo); and her siblings, Lois Willoughby, Imogene Johnson (Tommy), Roy Bozeman (Sheila), Oneal Bozeman (Judy) and Bill Bozeman. She is also survived by six grandchildren; thirteen great grand children and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McClain-Hays Funeral Service (1002 E Main St, Philadelphia, MS 39350). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
