With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Naomi Burgess of Prentiss, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on July 19, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Weaver and Ollie Mae Bell Monk; her daughter Virginia Faye Burgess; and her siblings, J. C. Monk, Sam Monk, Ludie Pulliam, Jaunee McGraw and Evelyn Mixon.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Hynum (Curly Wayne) of Prentiss, Donna Dunn (Shannon) of Prentiss, Buck Burgess (Judy) of Vicksburg and Don Burgess (Kim) of Saucier; her sister Rachel Caldwell of Tulsa, OK.; her granddaughters, Denise, Stacie, Leah, Brandie, Bridgette, Brooke and Della; and also, Kissy, Betty, Jackie, Brenda, Brittany and Judy.
