She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Hawthorne and Martha Hawthorne. She is survived by: her daughters, Asiahlan Bryant of Hattiesburg and Linda Bryant of Prentiss, MS; her sisters, Linda Norwood of Jackson, MS and Virginia Hawthorne of Gulfport, MS; and her granddaughter Phyllis Sands. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
