She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin Reynolds, Jr. and Ann Carol Cade Reynolds; and her son William Jesse Carter, III. She is survived by: her grandsons, Ricky Carter, Spencer Carter and Cade Carter; her husband William Jesse "Bill" Carter, Jr. of Prentiss; her sons, Allan Reynolds Carter (Pepper) of Madison and Dr. John Christopher Carter of Albany, GA; her grandsons, Ricky Lee Carter, Spencer Blake Carter and Cade Allan Carter; and her sister Merry Beth Tigert (Alan) of Indian Springs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
