It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Polk (Prentiss, Mississippi), who passed away on April 12, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Polk and Louie Dell Knight Polk. He is survived by: his daughters, Shanna Smith (Toby) of Richland, MS and Brittany Miller (Ray) of Prentiss, MS; his siblings, Ricky Polk of Prentiss, MS, Dale Polk of Prentiss, MS and Sandi Burnett of Gatlinburg, TN; and his grandchildren, Christian Smith, Douglas Freeman, Jaci Smith, Kendall Freeman, Gracyn Freeman, Myles Smith, Hayden Miller, Mason Miller, Jaysen Miller and Aiden Smith. He is also survived by his children, extended family and friends.

“Bro John Randy (Jungle Boy) Polk has been one of the greatest miracles of my ministry. He and I became acquainted and eventually best friends about the 4th or 5th year that I was here as pastor of New Chapel United Pentecostal Church. Randy Polk was a down to earth man, with simple ways, it did not take much to please him and make him happy. He just wanted the people that he loved to be saved. He attended church near Clinton with Bro Shillings and then in Richland with Bro Prince.”
