She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilks Speights and Effie Laura Hathorn Speights; her husband James F. "Bill" Parkman; and her brothers, Lynn Speights and Dale Speights.

She is survived by: her daughter Laura Evans (Tommy) of Monticello; and her granddaughter Molleigh Evans of Monticello.
