We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2023, at the age of 97, Ina Mae Dewitt (Prentiss, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Breland Joel DeWitt; her grandson Breland Norris DeWitt; and her siblings, James, John (J. W.), Thelma, Yvonne (PeeWee) and Elsie.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Mae DeWitt Hurst and Kenneth Earl DeWitt; her daughter-in-law Joyce Norris DeWitt; her grandchildren, Christopher Joel Hurst and Alexa DeWitt Goodman; her grandchildren-in-law, Jennifer Hurst and Jonn Franklin Goodman; her great grandchildren, Aidan James DeWitt, Paul David Pyle, Jaxon Franklin Goodman and Chase Lee Goodman; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Rowan Fisher Hurst and Cabella Grace Bowen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone wishing to honor Ina Mae DeWitt's memory may make a donation to Habitat for Humanity in Chipley, Florida, where she volunteered for many years.
