She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Bridges and Anna Fortenberry Bridges; her husbands, Rev. Sutton C. Smith and Dr. J. W. Whitehead; her brothers, Ben, Mike, Howard and Webb Bridges; her grandson Austin Smith; and her great grandchild Timothy Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Anna Stafford (Bobby) of Carson, Margaret Havard (James) of Lucedale, Linda Chance (Dwight) of New Hebron, James Smith (Dianne) of Magee, C. A. Smith (Laurie) of Magee and Wayne Smith (Charlotte) of Richland. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
