He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Mitchell and Virgie Blackwell Smith; and his siblings, L. B. Smith, Glen Smith, Mitchell Smith and Shirley Faircloth.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Hartfield Smith of Carson; his sons, David Wayne Smith of Carson and Raleigh Mitchell Smith (Cristy) of Carson; his siblings, Roy Smith of Carson, Ricky Smith of Carson, Herman Smith of Carson, Virginia Smith of Carson and Christine Kelley of Carson; and his grandchildren, Victoria Lynn Smith, Jonathan David Smith, Nevaeh Jane Marie Smith, Alex Johnny Smith, Joseph Raleigh Smith and Dixie Bell Marie Smith.
