It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Jackson Townsend (Prentiss, Mississippi), who passed away on June 22, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reggie Blackmon and Ida Polk Blackmon; her former husband Charles Edwin Jackson; her daughter-in-law Donna Jackson; and her sister Charlotte Mullens.
She is survived by: her husband James Townsend of Collins; her children, Tammy Temple (Jimmy) of Bassfield, Dean Jackson (Nancy) of Moselle, Joe Jackson of Bassfield and Paul Jackson (Michele) of Bassfield; her stepdaughters, Katelyn Onna Sellers (CJ) of Bassfield and Kaleeanna McCray (Jason) of Bassfield; her daughter-in-law Faye Jackson of Collins; her brother Pat Blackmon of OakVale; and her grandchildren, Katie Mancuso, Emily Burkhalter, Miranda Norris, Melody Wilson, Malea Jackson, Christopher McRaney, Sean McRaney, Todd Liles and Melissa Mayfield.
