He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Barnett and Louise Herrington Barnett; his wife Nona Gail Barnett; his son Tim Barnett; his siblings, Paul, Buddy Barnett and Betty King; and his grandson Stephen Barnett.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Barnett of Lone Star, MS, Jim Barnett of Pearl, MS, Melanie Barnett of Braxton, MS and Sharyn Stalans of New Hebron, MS; his sister Barbara Nations of New Hebron, MS.; and his grandchildren, Brian Barnett, Crystal Buckley, Blake Stalans, Monica Barnett and Abby Stalans George. He is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
