She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kirby Rushing and Mary Belle Trevilion Rushing; and her husband Walter S. Bemiss. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Keith Stagg, Kirby Rushing, Norma Norton, Barbara Spencer, Mary Ellen Henry, Deborah Thigpen and Dana Sue Martin; and her brother Doug Hooks.
