She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Mitchell Weed and Ressa Ewbank Weed; her husbands, Charles Stokes, Jim W. McWhorter and Fred Chandler; and her sister Rachel Johnstone.

She is survived by: her children, Jim "Owen" McWhorter (Stephanie) and Janet McWhorter Windham (Robert); her grandchildren, Courtney McWhorter Hart (Jason), Lauren McWhorter Hynum (Tony), Haley McWhorter, Carolyn Windham Spencer (Meredith), Cristin Windham Robison (Tyler) and Nathan Chandler; her great grandchildren, Austin Cade (Leiana), Bradley Hynum, Tagen Hynum, Trey Hynum, Laken Wilder, Brooklyn Hart, Alexis Hart, Piper Isaac, Alaina McWhorter, Jim Carter McWhorter, Madison Spencer, Mallory Spencer, Zoey Robison and Cameron Robison; and her great great grandchildren, Luke Cade and Sawyer Cade.
