He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bradley Smith and Bernettie Smith; and his siblings, Charles E. Smith and Virginia Ladner. He is survived by: his wife Melba King Smith; his children, Mary Williams (Danny), Carla Coleson (Sam), Lee Smith (Tammy), Brad Smith (Jeannette) and Justin Smith; and his sisters, Estelle Williams and Mattie Lou Shill. He is also survived by grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
