Melysa was born February 28, 1990 in Picayune, Mississippi. She was a veterinary tech.

Family members include her father, Ronald Smith; her mother, Pamela Massengale; fiance, Tres Ladner; brothers, Matthew Massengale, Ron Smith; sister, Becky (Bart) Alley; aunts, Deborah Landry, Margie Massengale; uncle, Eddie Earl Smith; a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at The Beginnings Church (217 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Monday at the church.
