She was predeceased by: her son Burnell James Gay; her parents, Burnell Dedeaux and Rena Davis Dedeaux; her siblings, J. T. Dedeaux, J. S. Dedeaux, J. L. Dedeaux, Burnell Dedeaux, Troy Dedeaux, Buford Dedeaux and Lena Wells; and her half-sister Bessie Lee Davis.

She is survived by: her son Floyd Dean Gay; and her sisters-in-law, Gladys Dedeaux and Cecil Dedeaux.
