He is survived by: his children, Regina Ann Brown (Kimble) of Houston, MS, Debra Kay Simmons of Houston, MS, Bo Simmons (Yolanda) of Verona, MS, Willie Joe Simmons, Jr. (late Bernette) of Houlka, MS and William Edward Gates. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
