Sarah Alice Young Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Alice Young of Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on October 29, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Allen Henry and Mary Anna Mitchell Henry; her husband James Grady Young; her children, Col. James Grady Young Jr., Dr. Jerry Keith Young, Mary Alice and Martha Ann; and her grandparents, Alfred William Henry, Sarah Jane Austin Henry, John Presley Mitchell and Mittie Alice Johnston Mitchell.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Allen Young of Pontotoc, MS and Jennifer Lynn Young Hufano (Benjamin) of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Ryan Stutsy (Brandi), Luke Gillespie, Benjamin Hufano, Sarah Hufano (Don), Dr. Mary Allyson Lowry (Ruffin), Anna McCarley (Scott) and Tyler; and her great grandchildren, Colton Stutsy, Sarah Mora Stutsy, Finn Stutsy, Alya Stutsy, Vivianna Hufano, Thomson Lowry, Lucy Lowry, Lynley McCarley, Parker McCarley and James Henry McCarley. She is also survived by children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to The American Cancer Society and The American Heart Association.
