He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie B. Berry and Madie Jo Berry; his children, Stevy D. Berry and Marika N. Berry; his brother Warner; his son Robert (Billy "Tony" Berry); his sisters, Jimmie Glaspie and Carnell Carroll; his parents-in-law, George and Thelma Townsend; and his brother-in-law Vincent Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Berry; his siblings, Ada Simmons of New York, Faylean Pulliam, Madie Powell of Pontotoc, MS and Erskin Berry (Kaye) of New York; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria, Martha, Lori Ann (James), Brenda (Wallace), Faye (James), Lynn Darby (Jason), James, Robert (Joyce) and George. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
