She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Rea Hipp and Cleveland Hipp; her stepmother Kathleen Hipp; and her brother Jimmy Ray Hipp. She is survived by: her husband Terry McCarter; her children, Mark McCarter (Sandra) and Janet McCarter Patterson (Tracy); her grandchildren, Matt McCarter (Sarah Beth), Drew McCarter (Samantha), Anna Patterson Pugh (Marc), Aubrey Patterson IV (Kelli Graham) and Blake Patterson; her great grandchildren, Aiden Wallace, Flinn Pugh, Landon McCarter and Baby Boy McCarter; and her close friend Mary Frances Stepp.
