She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Jessie Rogers and Mary Studdard Rogers Sparks; her husband Leo Sappington; her brothers, Lamar Rogers and James Rogers; and her great grandchild Ellie Jayde Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Mitzi Stokes (Wayne), Karen Washington, Sharen Sewell (Perry) and Chris Sappington (Shawn); her sister Louise Bell; her sister-in-law Ophelia Sewell; her grandchildren, Ashley Stubblefield (Chad), Anna Lauren McDonald (Austin), Haley Sewell, Wesley Sewell, Shelby Edwards (Latham Brister), Jacob Edwards (Laken Tedford) and Will Sappington; and her great grandchildren, Case Stubblefield, Sadie Stubblefield, Lizzy Hamblin, Hayzen Ross Edwards and Casen Jack Edwards.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Browning Funeral Home (141 W Oxford St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Immanuel Cemetery.
