He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Cox and Irene Henderson Cox; his wife Carolyn Cox; and his brothers, Zane and Wayne Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Cox (Leda) and Cindy Black (Ken); his grandchildren, Kristen Catledge (Charles), Michael Cox (Kathryn), MacKensey Jackson (DJ), Maddie Black and Maegan Black; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Ben, Hannah Catledge, Camden, Harper Cox, Lucas, Mason and Nolan Jackson; his sisters-in-law, Margie and Dorothy Cox; and his caregivers, Joann Morris, Laura Emery, Bobbie Jo Emery and April Mitchell.
