She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marvin Ard and Mary Elizabeth Busby Ard; her husband Lanion Q. Spears; and her sister-in-law Theresa Ard. She is survived by: her children, Mike Spears (Lynn) and Marquetta Spears; her grandchildren, Buffie Butler (Ken), Shelly Carnes and Brent Spears (Dana); her great grandchildren, Madison Hale (Chase), Mary Kate Butler, Caden Spears and Kelsy Spears; and her siblings, Billy Ard and Terrena Kyle (Carroll).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hurricane Baptist Church (7975 MS-346, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at the Warren Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Tabernacle Children's Home in care of Hurricane Baptist Church.
