She was predeceased by: her husband W. C. Mathews; and her sons, Ronnie and Johnny Mathews. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Steve Mathews (Lisa), Debbie Grubbs (Shannon), David Mathews (Tabatha), Craig Mathews (Beth) and Barry Mathews (Kourtney); her daughter-in-law Jean Mathews; and her great grandchildren, Koryn, Eden Mathews, Tori Oswalt, Hannah Seale, Cody, Ross Mathews, Brittney Bean, Kylee Shelton, Pacey and Paxton Mathews. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church (8773 MS-15, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
