He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Dillard and Lillie Belle McShan; his wife Barbara McShan; his children, John Dillard, Cynthia Kimble, Angela McShan and Sharon McShan; and his brother Charles "Slim" McShan.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Harper of Pontotoc, MS, Ruby Riley of Pontotoc, MS, Mary Alice Montgomery (Tommy) of Pontotoc, MS, Sonja Carruthers (Kelvin) of Belden, MS, Terry McShan of Tupelo, MS, Charles McShan of Belden, MS, Delphia Hall, Kevin Montgomery (Shelia), Quozetta Montgomery, Tonya Traylor (Willie) and Beatrice Montgomery; his siblings, Ruby Jean McShan of Pontotoc, MS, James Dillard, Jr. and Bobby Dillard of Wilmington, DE; and his siblings-in-law, Ella Mae Smith (William), Adele Oneal and William Stovall. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
