He was predeceased by: his parents, David Dixon and Nora Dixon; his daughter Debra Bowling; and his brothers, Rayburn Dixon and Milton Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Daisy Mae; his children, Sandra Ball (Alvis), Verletha High, Kim Graham (Colbert), Larry Dixon (Sonja), Terry Joe Bowling (Shonda) and Mark Dixon (Claressa); and his siblings, Jimmy Dixon, Charles Dixon (Rita), Robert Frank Dixon, David Dixon (Renee) and Mildred Payton (Johnny). He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
