He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy Jones and Daisy Pearl Jennings Jones; his wife Billie Colete Mullenix Jones; and his sisters, Marilyn Lauderdale, Edith Russell and Joanne Boatner.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Jones and Mark Jones; his great grandchildren, John Wyatt Clark and Ellasyn Kate Russom; and his nieces and nephews, Jim Bert Lauderdale (Lydia), Tommy Lauderdale (Sara), Fred Russell (Linda), Phillip Russell, P. K. Russell (Jeff), Buck Boatner (Vivien), Cynthia Stepp (Eddie), Judy Morse (Dennis) and Marilyn Hicks (Larry).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (382 S Main St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
