With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brenda Mae Banks (Pontotoc, Mississippi), who passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Bolden, Sr. and Luizer Satterwhite Bolden; her husband James C. Banks; her daughter Brittany Banks; her siblings, Doris Scott, Rommie Scott, James Marshall Scott, Wilma Berry and Shelby Bolden; and her siblings-in-law, Rose Banks, Othella Calhoun (Lonnie), Nancy Williams (Ricky) and Robert Banks (Janice).
She is survived by: her children, Jamieson M. Banks, Dashanda Coleman and Sedrick Coleman (Tiffany); her siblings, Teresa Farr (Kenneth) and Wilbert Bolden, Jr.; her grandchildren, Corvontae Smith, Jawun Coleman, Joshua Smith, Haelee Smith and Sedarian Coleman; her great grandchildren, Khloee Smith and Josiah Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Williams (Don), Evelyn Price (Cliff), LaFrancis Hornbeak (Raymond), Sherry Rucker (Darryl), Sparks Banks (Carolyn), Willie B. Banks, Lamar Banks (Deborah) and Lurie Banks (Doris). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Payton Mortuary (262 E Oxford St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Red Hill MB Church (1242 Co Rd 194, Blue Springs, MS 38828).
