She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Lydell and Eunice Gullick Williams; her husband Juston Gaines Gates, Sr.; and her brothers, Mike Williams and Jerry Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Mitzi Sewell (Sammy) and Juston Gates (Amanda); her siblings, Phyllis Hooker and Danny Williams (Daphine); her grandchildren, Jonathan Shae Gates, Elizabeth Klaire Gates, Caleb Gaines Gates, Gabriel Lindsey Sewell and Leah Madelyn Gates; and her great grandchild Logan Shea Gates.
