Eddie Upshaw Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Upshaw of Pickens, Mississippi, born in Lexington, Mississippi, who passed away on July 3, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Upshaw and Ruth Shanks Upshaw Carey; his son Eddie Darrell "Shaw" Upshaw, Jr.; and his siblings, Owen, Kenny Upshaw and Kaye Upshaw Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Tessie Upshaw Harris of Oxford, Kim Upshaw of Florence and Shane Upshaw (Susan) of Vicksburg; his brother Sid Upshaw of Pickens; his grandchildren, Justin Harris, Laney Harris, Drake Harris, Avery Harris, Preston Upshaw, Easton Upshaw, Ellye Ryan Upshaw, Sidney Shaw Upshaw, John Owen Upshaw, Grace Upshaw, Phillip Upshaw, Chandler Upshaw, Curran Upshaw, Jack Upshaw and Georgia Upshaw; and his great grandchild Elle Grider. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Ranjit Nair of MD Anderson in Houston, TX for the exceptional care he received, and the Halo House Foundation for providing the family with a home away from home during his treatments.
