She was predeceased by: her parents, David Wilson MItchell and Jacqueline Cooper Herrin; her daughter Carla Jean Lee; and her granddaughter Bailey Hattaway. She is survived by: her husband James Nathan Varnado; her daughters, Tracey Worley and Melissa Hilliard; her grandchildren, Caitlyn Loveless, Samantha Worley, Brody Hilliard and Maddie Hilliard; her great grandchild Jacob "J. J." Morris; and her siblings, Frank Mitchell, Lisa Herrin and Doc Herrin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2618 Hwy 43 S, Picayune, MS 39466).
