She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde W. Shivers; her parents, Chalmers B. Kemp and Lola Tanksley Kemp; her daughter Joyce Bittle; and her sister Inez Oldman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Hora (Ron) and Shirley Pridgen; her sister Barbara Walker; and her grandchildren, Patrick Cribbs (Crystal), Melissa Cribbs, Shannon Antonucci (Ken), Mac Pickell and Cindy Smith. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
