She was predeceased by: her parents, Ngan Nguyen and Gion Nguyen Nguyen; and her brother Minh Nguyen. She is survived by: her husband Edward; her children, Edward Staples, II, Elizabeth Mitchell (Jake), Kim Staples and Delilah Staples; her granddaughters, Alivia, Jacie, Sabrina and Rebekah; her great grandchildren, G. J., Jamari, Samir, Silas, Luke and Harlowe; and her sisters, Tot Nguyen, Tuyet Nguyen (Suan), Yen Nguyen (Dung) and Huy Nguyen. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 29th 2024 at the Old Palestine Cemetery (3241 Jackson Landing Rd, Picayune, MS 39466).
